Chase
Welcome to Bihar Lowchen, Carol Strong’s labor of love. She fell in love with the Breed in the early 1980’s and worked diligently for decades to improve the Breed in temperament, health and structure. Because of this, Carol’s Bihar Lowchen are world renowned. Famous in the Conformation ring both here in the U. S. and Internationally, her Little Lions also make wonderful companions, compete with great success in Agility and Obedience and one has even become a Certified Therapy Dog (TDI) on staff at Rochester Institute of Technology!!
Originating in Pre-Renaissance Europe (Germany, Belgium, France) as companions to royalty, Lowchen are happy, healthy, non-shedding little dogs who believe that it is their duty to make us laugh out loud every day. They are little clowns who can also accompany us on long walks, playing games or cuddling up on our laps for a long Winter’s afternoon.
When Carol passed away in early 2011, her son, Greg, decided it was imperative that her inspired breeding program continue. Now based in both his Top of the Bay Pet Lodge, Easton MD, and Peggy Cropsey’s 15 acre farm near Rochester, NY, Greg and Peggy work together to continue her Dream. We hope you enjoy your visit with Bihar Lowchen and please let us know if you have any questions!
